These terms are the agreement between you and the Gravhold team ("we"), who run Gravhold: the website gravhold.com, the game at play.gravhold.com and the services connected to them. By creating an account or playing, you accept these terms, the rules of the game and the way we handle data described in the Privacy Policy.
1. The game
- Gravhold is a free online game played in the browser. It is in open testing: features change often, the server can restart, and the world, characters and items may be reset (wiped) while the game is being built.
- We do our best to keep the game online, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you.
- Give a real email address that you can read: it is how we verify the account and how you recover it.
- The account is personal. Keep your password secret: we will never ask for it. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Accounts, characters and items cannot be sold, traded or transferred for money or anything outside the game.
3. Behaviour
The rules of the game are part of these terms. In particular, no cheating, bots, macros or modified clients, no exploiting bugs, no harassment, threats, hate or illegal content, and no pretending to be staff. We may warn, mute, suspend or close accounts and remove characters or items that break these rules. Serious or repeated violations lead to a permanent ban.
4. Gravhold Points and virtual items
- Gravhold Points, outfits, items, gold and everything else in the game are a licence to use content inside Gravhold. They are not money, they have no value outside the game and cannot be exchanged back for money.
- Points and items may be changed, rebalanced or removed, for example after a reset during open testing.
- If you buy Gravhold Points, the price and what you get are shown before you pay. Because the content is delivered to your account immediately, you agree that the right of withdrawal ends once it has been delivered, where the law allows this. This does not limit any right you have under the law of your country.
- Points bought or received on an account that is banned for breaking the rules are not refunded.
5. Our content
The game, its world, art, names and code belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. You may share screenshots and videos of your own play. You may not copy, sell or redistribute the game or its assets.
6. What you write
Names, chat messages, guild mottos and reports are yours, but you allow us to show and store them as needed to run the game. Character names, levels and achievements are public on the site (rankings, character pages, the live feed).
7. Responsibility
The game is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost progress after a reset, or problems caused by your device, your connection or other players. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Closing an account
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to the contact address that will be published on this page (until then, through the staff in the game). We may close accounts that break these terms, and we may end the service; if we close the game for good we will announce it on the news page in advance.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Important changes are announced on the site; if you keep playing after they take effect, you accept them.
