Skills you train: the more you fight, the harder you hit
5 November 2026 · Gravhold
Your vocation skill
- Knight: Melee Fighting. Archer: Distance Fighting. Mage: Magic Level. Rogue: Blade Fighting. Before you choose a vocation you train Melee Fighting, and it moves to your new skill when you choose.
- Everyone also has Shielding.
- All skills start at 10 and grow on top of what your level already gives you: nobody is weaker than before.
How they grow
- Every attack trains your vocation skill. Every hit a creature lands on you trains Shielding. Mages also train Magic Level with the mana they spend on spells and runes.
- Each new level takes a bit longer than the one before: the first ones come in minutes, the high ones take days.
- Every level makes your attacks hit harder (for the Mage: spells and runes), and Shielding makes you block more.
- When a skill goes up you get the golden Congratulations! banner. In the Character panel (on the phone: Hero) every skill has its bar and the percentage left to the next level.
Train on the dummies
- Select a Training dummy in Semura, in front of the apothecary, and stand still next to it: your hero keeps attacking even with the game in the background, and both your vocation skill and Shielding go up.
- Arrows and shuriken are not used up on the dummies.
- Training stops when you move, attack something else or log out. On the phone, keep the screen on.
Shields count, every point
- Small shields, quivers, tomes and tekko used to block less than bare hands. Now every point of defence counts, and the best shields stay exactly as strong as before.
- In the Character panel Defence is the total written on your items, and the new Block line shows how much of each hit you really stop.
