Dragons and demons come alive, and you can dodge their big spells
The strongest creatures of Gravhold finally look the part. We are starting with three: the Ice dragon, the Green dragon and the Demon.
They look alive
- A light of their element pulses on the ground under them, and embers, frost or poison bubbles rise from their bodies.
- They breathe while they stand still, flinch with a flash when you hit them, and burst in their element when they fall.
Watch the ground
Their biggest spells (Great Fireball, Energy Beam, Frost Breath, Ice Storm, Poison Breath, Acid Ball) are no longer instant:
- The creature lights up and shouts the name of the spell.
- A glowing magic circle opens on the ground where a ball will land, or a trail of light marks the path of a breath.
- A ring of light closes from the edge to the centre: when it reaches the middle, the spell strikes.
- Step out of the marked area in time and the spell misses you.
On a slow phone
Options has a new switch, Creature effects. Turn it off to draw less: the warning circles stay, simpler, so you can still dodge.
